Thanks for answering my question.

Is there a beach spot your would recommend? I’m gonna be coming out in the next couple months and check a few places out. I read the beach town by Nicaragua is nice as well as a couple others.

Thanks!

what type of work is available?

I just want to work in a sportsbar or something. Don’t need a ton of money, just a little spending cash. Found a place for $600 a month in Jaco. But researching a few other places.

you do know that covid cases are currently very high? The hospital beds are full in many parts of the country. People are struggling to get enough food to feed their family. Curfews and driving restrictions. To answer your question. Unless you have a friend or know someone well your chances would be very close to ZERO.

people struggling to get food? are you even down here in CRC? or you just watch the news?? yes COVID cases are high and hospital beds are almost full but he could get vaccinated easily. The food part is just being a crazy paranoid.

@bigbet1234 how long will you be here for? I have a friend with a unit for rent in jaco bay (https://www.jacobay.com/es/index.php) if you want let me know for how long and I'll ask him the price

So the locals are not having trouble feeding their family. OK so a large number of businesses in the country have closed in the last year. A country that relies on tourism money that is down around 80%. i guess all the locals that have lost their jobs in the last 16 months are doing ok with all that unemployment and stimulus money they got from the goverment. LOL
By the way the bar at the Cocal in Jaco got shut down about five days ago for a week or two for curfew and mask violations.

well the fact that during the last long weekend down here the 27 was packed means that ppl has no means to go to the beach? same goes for the semana santa? actually both the 27 and 32, packed. Just like in any place, pandemic has hit some most than others but it doesnt mean this is the apocalypse down here man. What I got from your comment was that it was a mess down here but it isnt

If you want to find part-time jobs as a waiter or courier, you will find a job there in literally two days. But if you'll be passing through there, but don't want to be out of money, then look for some jobs on freelance sites. Maybe you have an aptitude for writing, languages, design, or programming. Then you can earn double income by working several part-time jobs simultaneously. You'll always have money for trinkets, clothes, goodies, and booze. I hope you had a cool time in Costa Rica. I work as a freelancer, and even when I travel, I carry my laptop with me, where I work when I'm not walking around cities, museums, and beaches.
